High School Football players - Wellness Center needs your help.. to volunteer to ref and coach for the upcoming youth flag football for 3rd and 4th grades. Please contact them at 456-2827 if interested.

Attention everyone interested in International Club: International Club - Our meeting time has changed so more of you can attend. We will meet on Tuesday morning at 8:00 am instead of this Friday morning. Remember we don't have school Monday.

The students that were unable to make the rollout sessions need to let Mrs. Peterson know. Video sessions will be scheduled so you and your parents can view them. After they have been viewed and the paperwork is signed you will receive your computer.

ISU is hosting a visitation day for seniors interested in engineering. The visit day will be held Monday, September 13. For registration materials, see Mrs. Christiansen.

This week's Iowa College Trivia question is. ..What is the only community college in Iowa to offer a licensed cosmetology program? Place your answer in the jar in the guidance office for your chance to be a winner.

Congratulations to Josh Deibler, last week's Iowa College Trivia winner. Josh knew that Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant features a home that President Lincoln's oldest son lived in.

First Dance of the year! Come dance with all your friends after the football game Friday night from 9:30 or right after football game to midnight. Out of school dates need to be signed up in the office by noon on Friday. Also no middle school students are allowed.

College tips available. Students or parents who would like to receive monthly tips on preparing for college, please contact Mrs. Christiansen to sign up. The e-newsletter is sent out by the Iowa College Planning Center and includes great tips for all students in 9th-12th grade.

2009-2010 Yearbooks are in If you haven't picked up your yearbook you purchased last year - please do so.

If you aren't sure if your parents bought you one, please stop in the office and we can check for you.

We DO have EXTRA yearbooks. Bring in $45.00. Don't be left out.

Are you a girl who likes to read? Then join the H-D Girls Book Club. Our first meeting of the year will be Friday at 8:15 in the Info Tech. We will read and discuss a different book each month. Our first book is "The Last Song" by Nicholas Sparks. See Mrs. Christiansen for more information.

Fall Play....CINDERELLA The fall musical is here! This year we will be doing Cinderella. Auditions are open to any boy or girl grades 9-12 and will be held Tuesday September 7th and Wednesday September 8th immediately after school in the vocal room. Audition materials are in the office. Please sign up for an audition day in the office. You must fill out the information requested and bring it to the audition.

SENIORS - College Applications Seniors--You should be completing college applications now. Many college-specific scholarships have deadlines this fall. If you need a high school transcript sent, let Mrs. Christiansen know so she can put it in the mail.

Student Council will meet on Friday of this week at 8:00am in the Shop. The main agenda item will be homecoming week.
